Shapes & Patterns / 01

Old posts

P&H blog

I’m really excited to debut the first post of a column I’d like to explore weekly: shapes & patterns. I find myself gawking at beautiful patterns quite often (whilst furiously wishing I were a fabulous print designer, but that’s an entirely different story). What better way to celebrate awesome shapes than frequent posts on just that?

You may have heard about Elizabeth Olwen already, as she seems to have exploded on the design scene within the last few months. I keep coming across her name and am so glad I did – I loooove her use of color and shapes, and how each set of patterns has its own distinct personality. The patterns featured above is from the set 1950s Florals.

Check out her other work and prepare to drool.  – L

  1. I have been enjoying the features on Elizabeth’s work. Her patterns are gorgeous. 🙂 I wish I could get into pattern design.

Ooh, these are all so beautiful! I think my favorite is the first one with the flowers. I’m not much of a pattern gal, but these could make me one!
