Goodness. You know how sometimes you’re on your way to doing something and you’re like, “Oh yeah, that’ll be cool.” And then said something happens and you’re like, “OH YEAH THAT’S REALLY COOL. GOLD STARS FOR EVERYBODY.” That’s what happened to me when I saw these photos from Amanda Dumouchelle Photography and I nearly fell out of my chair. Seriously. Look at these pictures. They’re gorgeous.
Agata from Take a Seat Events reached out to me in January with grand visions of an elegant estate styled shoot — a sophisticated tablescape with sprawling florals and greenery, all set up against a gorgeous stone building. I LOVED her vision and was so, so excited to collaborate with other Michigan vendors I so deeply admire.
Can we talk about this house for a minute?? I DIE. Max and I drove through an actual snowstorm to get to the location, “what-are-the-chances-this-would-happen” grumbling the entire time, and once we get there I was all, “WORTH IT.” This house is owned by Agata’s in-laws and it was the definition of breathtaking. I don’t know enough about architecture to do it justice on this blog, but guys… it was incredible. All stone and wood and fireplaces. I met Agata’s sweet mother-in-law and afterwards worried that I was disrespectful by repeatedly saying “This house is insane.” But not insane in a bad way. Insane in a did-I-die-and-reincarnate-as-a-Disney-princess way. You know the kind.
Sue from Passionflower does such perfect, perfect work. Speaking of reincarnation, in my next life I want to be a little sprig in a Passionflower bouquet.
Huge thanks again to Agata and Justyna for inviting me to collaborate! I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to work with such talented women on something as special as this. xo

Riiiiight? Just beautiful. Thank you so much, friend! xo
I love the way you laid this out in the blog! Beautiful job!
Thanks so much Amanda! It’s SO easy with your gorgeous photos 🙂
Can we also talk about *your* work for a minute here?? The gold! And I love the way that your lettering takes over the paper without feeling overwhelming. Perfectly balanced. The whole shoot was so beautifully done. Yay for more of this!!
You’re the best, Brittany. Thank you! YES, more of this please 🙂 🙂
