Mom’s moodboard. Momboard?

Friends! Happy hump day. Today I’m sharing something very near + dear to my heart – a moodboard made for my mom’s up-and-coming sewing business. She’s been running her own custom drapery business since I was ten years old (and is my #1 creative biz-lady solopreneur inspiration, but that’s another story), and soon enough she’ll have a side biz selling bags and purses made with love. She recently made eight, eight weekend duffel bags for all of my bridesmaids. Not only is she a lady that gets awesome stuff done, but she looks real cute while doing it. So! Though I’m steering Paper & Honey away from branding and other related freelancing projects, I’m helping her shape her business aesthetics because she’s my mom and I owe her a ton. A logo won’t really make up for her, y’know, making me exist, but it’s a start.

I loooove how this moodboard turned out. It has my mom all over it, and I can even see a bit of myself in there, too. Her business will be focused on the handmade with a pinch of vintage. Lots of warm neutrals with muted primary colors, subtle textures and patterns, and just a hint of gold. I can’t wait to show off the final product and ultimately my mom’s new venture!

We *are* using their printing presses, though.

This ain't your granddaddy's print shop.
